Crazy in Us

So Roy woke up on alert mode because of my tweet which went like:

"Nasan ka nung kailangan kita?"

There went my phone banging like nuts, him on the other line.

I took him a while to give a ring. Siguro sa sobrang ka-busy-han ng mokong he couldn't even dial  my digits. Nonetheless, super thank you pa din for the call. Twitter was our able aid all the while. And it was all good. Like how almost all of us from the college paper would communicate nowadays.

Roy and I were the better buddies back in college. Bukod sa fact na I dethroned him of his sports column, (ahem, ahem!) we shared a lot of interests in common.

He was the childish kuya I never had. Parang ganun. Hehehe.

I remember how he used to tell me to skip classes para samahan lang siya kumain. MY GAWD! Good influence! Hahaha! So, super tambay sa canteen or sa office where we used hang out. There was even a time when we both skipped class just to catch a UAAP Finals game. Kaming dalawa ang nagpapasasa sa hanging tv ng SPCBA sa canteen. Arwind Santos was still in college back then. Pero his long spidey arms were apparent na.

At meron pa kaming prusisyon moments nyan with Tano when he was BOY ISTOKWA. Hehehe. We walked from school to Jollibee Pacita para lang kumain ng sundae at samahan siya dahil wala na siyang uuwian. Hay naku, rebelde ka talaga. At mas malala ka pa now, terorista ka na e! Joking!

I also remember him closing an article for me. I really had a hard time concluding kasi talaga before. I passed it up to him, then he wrapped it up just like a fine shawarma! O, nice diba! :)

But the best thing I remember about him is when one time I texted him saying Thank you because he's been really nice to me, ang sabi ba naman,

" Wag ka mag-alala. Pinaplastik lang kita."

Ayy, for a while I was thinking blank. Shoot. Matinde. But I know naman he was just cracking up the crazy in him. Baliw talaga. Maybe that's why we click. We're both baliw. Hehehe.  

It's just sad lang he chose to work na. And for the longest time we had no news of him. Until maka-graduate na ko. And after eons of years, (like oa talaga ako sa eons), we got together with The Sphere peeps from which that photo of ours is taken. :)

Well, what's with all the looking back? Kasi naman, I just feel so lucky to still have Roy around. Someone with whom I can be crazy sarcastic about my thoughts, and he still understands like WOW.
